Deutsche Bahn and Lufthansa already offer 17 daily trains from 134 German cities to Frankfurt Airport. Five more cities will be added in the second half of 2021. Luggage carrying and storage will also be easier: Deutsche Bahn prefers to use the latest generation trains with large luggage compartments. As soon as traffic rises at the airports again, Lufthansa Express Rail customers will be given fast lane access at the security checkpoint. Also, when landing at Frankfurt Airport, priority will be given to the luggage of Express Rail customers.

Lufthansa Express Rail ticket booking will become even more flexible. From April 2021, feeder trains can be booked as long as the relevant connecting flight is bookable. It also pays to book early, which means tickets can be cheaper.
