The statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) said: “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the whole world since last year, there is an electronic component (microchip) supply problem that affects many sectors on a global scale, including the automotive industry. Tofaş is affected by the microchip supply problem due to the high technology in its products, the increasing use of electronic composition and the world-integrated production system. In this context, production activities in our factory will be suspended for two weeks from the end of the evening of 19 March 2021 until April 5, 2021 due to the disruptions in the procurement and delivery processes of some parts in which the said microchips are used. In order to keep the effects of the decision in question to a minimum, some periodic maintenance works of the production facilities will be carried out during the interruption of production. However, the operations of our company that are out of production will continue. "
