Hatay Metropolitan Municipality will start repairing the damage on the historic Batıayaz Bridge this month.
HBB teams could not start the repair of the damage caused by the impact of a construction machine in September last year, due to the bridge's being the 1st Degree Registered Building.
During this period, HBB, which takes the necessary security measures to prevent loss of life and property in the region in question, will start working with the permission obtained from the Regional Directorate of Protection of Cultural Heritage.
HBB will carry out the repair work under the control of the 5th Regional Directorate of Highways and the Museum Directorate.
