Masks and distance inspections were carried out on trams and public buses in Samsun within the scope of the "Weekly Thematic Inspections" circular sent by the Ministry of Interior to the 81 provincial Governorships.
In Samsun, where coronavirus cases are most common, social distance and mask control were made and warnings were made to citizens. Samsun Governor Assoc. Zülkif Dağlı, Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa Demir, Provincial Police Chief Ömer Urhal, as well as Transportation Department Head Kadir Gürkan, Police Department Head Abdülkadir Dizman and SAMULAŞ General Manager Enver Sedat Tamgacı participated in the inspection.
The members of the protocol, who warned citizens about the use of social distancing and masks during the inspections carried out in certain points of the city, advised them to stay away from crowded environments.
Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir, who warned that they should be more sensitive about masks and distance, especially in public transportation vehicles, said, “It is up to us to turn our city from a high-risk area to a low-risk area, ie from red to blue. If the rules are followed, we will reduce the spread of the virus. Let's follow the rules of mask, distance and hygiene. We will accomplish this job together, ”he said.
