IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluattended the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem and the commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Speaking at the event held in front of the Misir Apartment on Istiklal Street, İmamoğlu said, “In order to better understand the value of our National Anthem, perhaps we should once again remember the conditions of that day, our occupied lands and our people in poverty. Under these conditions, the great poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy begins his words by saying 'Do not be afraid…'. He gives courage and strength to his people and heroes in every line,” he said. Taking photos with the artists who took the stage in the clothes worn by the soldiers and the public during the National Struggle Period, İmamoğlu said, "I pray to wear these costumes only in shows."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğluattended the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem and the commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, organized by IMM.

In addition to İmamoğlu, CHP Party Council Member Eren Erdem, Mayor Advisor Murat Ongun, IMM Deputy Secretary General Şengül Altan Arslan, political party representatives and many citizens joined.
