The details of face-to-face education in primary, secondary and imam hatip secondary schools and high schools have been revealed. In primary, secondary and imam hatip secondary schools, one lesson will be 30 minutes and breaks will be 10 minutes. Face-to-face trainings in pre-school education institutions will be planned as 30 minutes per hour of continuous activity. Face-to-face education will be provided for a maximum of 10 lesson hours a day in vocational high schools and 8 lesson hours in other secondary schools. The calendar of the exams will not exceed three weeks starting from Monday, March 8, and will be determined and planned by the establishment of the chairmen of the educational institutions, face to face.
The Ministry of National Education decided that one course hour should be 30 minutes and breaks should be 10 minutes in face-to-face and distance education in primary, secondary and imam hatip secondary schools.
In primary schools located in provinces of all risk groups, face-to-face education will be held 2 days a week and 3 days of distance education. In the 5th, 6th and 7th grades of secondary schools in low and medium risk provinces, face-to-face education will be held 2 days a week and 3 days of distance education. In high and very high risk provinces, only distance education will be provided in these classes.
In vocational high schools, it was decided to provide a maximum of 10 lesson hours a day, and 8 lesson hours in other secondary education institutions.
Face-to-face education in secondary education institutions started on March 2. Educational institutions that could not start face-to-face training on this date due to their lack of preparation and planning will complete their preparation and planning by starting face-to-face training on Monday, March 8, at the latest.
Details of the Application in 8th Grades
In face-to-face and distance education in primary, secondary and imam hatip secondary schools, one lesson will be 30 minutes and breaks will be 10 minutes.
In the 8th grade of secondary schools in provinces in all risk groups, face-to-face training will be held for 12 lesson hours per week in cases where the class size is crowded and the class is divided, and 22 lesson hours per week in other cases.
In the 8th grade of imam hatip secondary schools in provinces in all risk groups, face-to-face training will be held for 14 lesson hours per week in cases where the class size is crowded and in other cases, 24 lessons per week.
Students who will not participate in face-to-face education activities will be responsible for the whole part of the subject and achievements of their class and will participate in face-to-face assessment exams at their schools.
Applications in Special Education Schools
In the provinces of all risk groups, face-to-face training in nursery and practice classes within the schools will be held on the days when face-to-face training continues at the school where the class is affiliated.
Special education schools, special education classes and special education nursery classes will not be given in the provinces of all risk groups, and face-to-face training will be held 30 days a week with 10 minutes of one lesson and 5 minutes during breaks, 6 lessons / activity hours per day. Lesson hours other than face-to-face education will be completed through distance education.
Participation in education and training activities to be carried out with face-to-face education will be voluntary and attendance is not required. However, for students who will not participate in face-to-face education activities, their parents will convey their requests that they do not want to send the student to the educational institution for face-to-face education, with a petition to the directorate of the educational institution.
Details of Face-to-Face Education in Secondary Education Institutions
It will be planned on which two days of the week each group will go to school from the branches allocated to groups for face-to-face training by the directorates of educational institutions.
In educational institutions affiliated to the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education, a maximum of 10 lessons per day, 8 lessons per day in other secondary education institutions, 30 minutes of each lesson hour and 10 minutes of rest time between lessons will be offered face-to-face training.
Considering the expectations and needs of students from common, elective and vocational courses in face-to-face education in secondary education institutions, those determined by the school administration will be made face-to-face, and the remaining ones will be done through distance education.
Students who will not participate in face-to-face education activities will be responsible for the whole part of the subject and achievements of their class and will participate in face-to-face assessment exams at their schools.
Other Applications in Vocational, Fine Arts and Sports High Schools
The “2020-2021 Education and Training Year Second Term Framework Curriculum” published on the internet address “Kariyer.eba.gov.tr” will be used in face-to-face training of the field / branch courses of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and multi-program high schools. In this context, the practical outcomes of the lessons in the curriculum will be planned by the group teachers' council in such a way that the practical outcomes will be done face to face and the theoretical gains will be done through distance education.
The lessons and course hours to be given face-to-face and distance education in fine arts and sports high schools were published on the website of “Kariyer.eba.gov.tr” and on “dogm.meb.gov.tr” for Anatolian imam hatip high schools.
Students will be responsible for all subjects of the courses taught face-to-face and within the scope of distance education in assessment and evaluation practices.
Educational Processes of Institutions Providing Education in Special Education and Guidance
5 days a week, 6 lessons per day, 30 minutes for each lesson hour, 10 minutes break between lessons and lunch break at special education schools that provide education at secondary education level under the General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services and special education classes within other schools. Face-to-face training will be given without giving time. Lesson hours other than face-to-face education will be completed through distance education.

Full-time distance education will continue in preparatory, 9th, 10th and 11th grades of secondary education institutions in high and very high risk provinces.
Face-to-face education will be provided in the preparatory, 9th, 10th and 11th grades of secondary education institutions in low and medium risk provinces, two days a week, 8 hours a day, in the form of diluted classroom practice. In the trainings, priority will be given to the practical gains in vocational courses. Lessons will be planned for a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 16 hours per week with the diluted classroom practice to be held face-to-face in secondary education institutions in low, medium, high and very high-risk provinces.
Details of the Exam Schedule
Responsibility exams in secondary education institutions and exams that cannot be held for the first term will be face-to-face in educational institutions. The calendar of the exams will be determined and planned by the board of directors of the educational institution, starting from Monday, March 8, not exceeding three weeks. The necessary measures will be taken by the directorates of the educational institutions and the exams will be implemented. The work and transactions for the first term will be completed by Friday, March 26, and all work and transactions related to responsibility exams will be processed by the e-School system until Wednesday, March 31.
Schools that have completed their exams for the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year will complete the first exams of the second semester on March 8-26, 2021, and those that failed the exams for the first semester between March 29 and April 16, 2021.
