Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli said that the decision regarding the 100% increase in fertilizer support announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was published in the Official Gazette on March 5, 2021.
Minister Pakdemirli's statement is as follows:
“Thus, fertilizer support for cereals (wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale) was increased from 8 TL per decare to 16 TL and from 4 TL per decare for other crops to 8 TL.
In addition to our producers who use organic and organomineral fertilizers, the support payment of 10 TL per decare was determined as 20 TL per decare.
The decision to increase the support was taken to cover the production of the year 2020 and the works regarding the payment were initiated by our Agriculture and Forestry Provincial / District Directorates.
We will make the support payments in the spring when our farmers need resources the most.
