It was announced that a total of 18 T129 ATAK helicopters would be delivered to the aviation units of the Gendarmerie General Command with the order placed by the Defense Industry Presidency. In the report shared by the Gendarmerie General Command, it is seen that the number has increased to 24.

6 T129 ATAK helicopters have been delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command by Turkish Aerospace Industries. The first T129 ATAK helicopter was delivered to the Gendarmerie in February 2018, taking the J-1453 tail number and FATİH name.

In the report shared by the Gendarmerie General Command, it was stated that 18 more T129 ATAK helicopters will be supplied. Stating in the report that the HÜRKUŞ-C procurement process is also continuing,

“The Attack Helicopter Procurement Project and the HÜRKUŞ-C Aircraft Procurement Project, which was initiated in order to provide effective and uninterrupted close air fire support required by the Gendarmerie General Command, are continuing. Within the scope of the project, 6 T-129 ATAK helicopters have been taken into the inventory so far and the total number of helicopters will be 24. expressions were included.

Within the scope of the T129 ATAK project carried out by the Presidency Defense Industry Presidency, 60 ATAK helicopters produced by the Turkish Aerospace Industry-TUSAŞ were delivered to the security forces. TAI delivered 53 (2 Phase-2) helicopters to the Land Forces Command, 6 to the Gendarmerie General Command and 1 ATAK helicopter to the Turkish National Police. Of the ATAK PHASE-2 configuration, the first deliveries of which were made, 21 will be delivered at the first stage.
