Egyptian President Undersecretary İhab Memiş announced that the efforts to float the ship stranded in the Suez Canal have been successful. The Suez Canal Administration also announced that the efforts to float the giant cargo ship on the ground were successful and the canal was opened to maritime traffic.

On the other hand, a total of 60 tons of sand was dug at a depth of 27 feet as part of the rescue efforts intensifying over the weekend. 14 tugboats were used to move the ship from its place.
