Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has extended the free public transportation right for healthcare workers, our most important heroes in the fight against corona virus, until 30 June 2021.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which implements many measures in accordance with the Corona Virus Fight Action Plan and continues to warn citizens about masks, distance and hygiene, continues to support healthcare professionals, the heroes of the pandemic. According to the decision taken after the meetings with the Eskişehir Provincial Health Directorate, the healthcare personnel free public transportation application, which was previously announced to be valid until March 31, 2021, was extended until June 30, 2021.
Making a statement on the subject, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Büyükerşen said, “Unfortunately, the number of cases continues to increase. This makes the job of our healthcare professionals more and more difficult with each passing day. We rely on our healthcare professionals who work devotedly in this process. Of course, we cannot pay for their labor, but it is our duty to make their lives easier. For this reason, we extended the free application in public transportation, which is valid for them, until June with the support of all our councilors in order to support their budget. I would like to thank once again and thank our healthcare personnel, who have entrusted our lives and who have worked for us for months with intense efforts without getting tired. In order to reduce the burden of our healthcare professionals, I would like to warn all our citizens once again to comply with the measures ”.
