The upper beam of the pedestrian overpass built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality between Sekapark 2nd stage and the tram stop of the education campus was placed with the work done at midnight. Since the overpass passes over the high-speed train line, the upper beam was placed with a crane, which was installed at midnight, in order not to prevent the passage of high-speed trains at the time frame deemed appropriate by TCDD.

BETWEEN SEKAPARK AND EDUCATION CAMPUS

The foundation concrete of the pedestrian overpass, which is under construction between Sekapark 2nd stage and the tram stop of the education campus, has been completed and its upper beam has been placed. Works are continuing feverishly on the overpass, where the upper coatings and stair construction will be started. The pedestrian overpass, which is 3.5 meters wide and 45 meters long, has 65 elevators for the use of disabled citizens over 2 years of age. The pedestrian overpass will provide great convenience for pedestrian transportation between the education campus and Sekapark 2nd stage.

CONGRESS CENTER OVERPASS OPENING

The works on the pedestrian overpass that will provide access to the Congress Center Tram Stop and Kocaeli International Congress Center are about to be completed. Finishing touches are being made on the overpass, which will facilitate the passage of the citizens getting off the tram to Kocaeli International Congress Center. The overpass, where landscaping and minor touches have been made, is planned to be opened for pedestrians next week. With the completion of the 63,40 meters long 3,35 meters wide overpass, the citizens getting off the tram will be able to reach Kocaeli International Congress Center easily. There are 65 elevators on the overpass for the use of disabled citizens over 2 years of age.
