Direct Bus Flights from Bursa to Istanbul Airport Started

The BBBUS Bus services of Burulaş, the transportation company of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, started direct flights to Istanbul Airport after Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which makes large investments in transportation with smart intersection applications, road expansion works, new rail system lines and planned bridge intersections, also contributes to the connection of Bursa with other cities and countries. BBBUS Bus services, which started in August 2017 for transportation to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is used extensively by Bursa residents, continues to serve an average of 60 thousand passengers per month with 70 daily trips. With an occupancy rate of 90 percent, BBBUS attracts the attention of Bursa citizens.

Direct transportation to İGA

After the opening of the new Istanbul Airport, Burulaş evaluated the intense demand from citizens, and started to cooperate with HAVAIST and started flights to IGA with a connecting flight from Sabiha Gökçen. Burulaş General Manager Mehmet Kürşat Çapar, who intensified the contacts so that the citizens of Bursa can reach Istanbul Airport directly, signed a contract with Kadri Samsunlu, IGA CEO, and enabled direct flights to Istanbul Airport with BBBUS. Thus, direct flights started from Bursa Terminal to Istanbul Airport with 4 departures and 4 arrivals a day. In the meantime, in addition to direct flights, flights via HAVAIST will continue regularly from Sabiha Gökçen.

An accessible Bursa

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the future vision of the city is tourism and that accessibility in both national and international areas is of great importance.
