Can we get to know you a little bit?
I would like to introduce myself to you, albeit very briefly. I introduce it briefly because I am much more excited to tell about our Çukurova Regional Airport project, which will serve both Adana and Mersin, which will have strategic importance for our country. I am Süleyman Kozuva, Chairman of the Board of Kozuva Group of Companies. How did the Çukurova Regional Airport project come to your agenda?
Biz ÇerkezköyWe are a group operating in Turkey, but our Favorite LLC company is operating the Mogadishu Aden Abdulle International Airport in friendly and brotherly Somalia. As you know, Somalia is a difficult country in terms of security. We are operating there without any problems. Our hotel called Decale, serving there, is a hotel that makes a name for itself in the African continent, let alone Somalia. After this introduction, now let's get to Çukurova Regional Airport. We are confident in ourselves, and in the light of our experiences I have just described, we say that "A company operating an airport in Somalia can easily do business anywhere in the world." We set out in our own country, thinking that we could also carry out our Çukurova Regional Airport Project, which will be one of the best investments in our country.
When is Çukurova Airport opened?
This question has been asked us persistently, I know you are very curious. Under normal circumstances, we foresee a 30-month period for the construction of the airport. However, we will try to train our airport to the third quarter of next year, taking into account the demand of our President to complete the strategic projects carried out on behalf of our country without delay. In this context, we organized a work plan based on 7/24 basis. Thanks to you, I would like to thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and our Minister of Treasury and Finance Lütfi Elvan. We are working with all our strength to serve our citizens as soon as possible.
Could you tell us a little bit about the details of the project?
When our airport is put into service, the trade of the region will increase and tourism will multiply. It is among our plans to make direct flights to both the Middle East and Gulf countries. At the same time, we will give priority to cargo transportation in order to expand e-commerce, which is carried out using the internet infrastructure of our country, taking into account the example of China in the world. Thus, both Mersin and Adana will win.
A train connection will also be provided to the airport. This will pave the way for the multiplication of trade. We will work in an integrated manner with other aspects of Turkey's Mersin Port is one of the largest ports. I have many issues to convey to you, but let our social responsibility projects be a surprise. In our next interview, I would like to tell you about these projects and thank you for taking your pages. I would like to convey our love and greetings to all Mersin residents through you.
