Transportation Officer-Sen, TCDD Railway staff restructuring activities within the scope of job security and protection of information work launched in Turkey for all members of the organization and vested interests should not be compromised. Within the scope of this study, Transport Officer-Sen President Kenan Çalışkan and Deputy General Presidents Mehmet Yıldırım and İbrahim Uslu, Memur-Sen Adana Provincial Representative Mehmet Sezer, who went to Adana to inform the Press Members and their Organization, held a meeting in Adana.

The meeting was attended by TCDD employees from Adana, Osmaniye, Mersin, Konya, Karaman, Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Mardin and Hatay with the organization of Adana No.1 Branch President Tonguç Tekkazancı and Adana Branch Number 2 President Recayi Uludağ. and Union representatives attended.

Making a statement regarding the issue at the meeting, Transport Officer-Sen President Kenan Çalışkan reminded that the restructuring should be planned in a way that will not compromise the job security and acquired rights of the railways by conveying the issues that may be troublesome to the employees in the process of Restructuring in Railways. Çalışkan insistently underlines the words “Railroaders' Job Security is Our Red Line” and said, “Civil Servants and Workers have been working side by side in TCDD for 164 years devotedly. This form of employment should be continued intact ”, he said.

Çalışkan stated that as the union management, they held a meeting with the General Managers of the relevant institutions at the Ministry of Transport, met with Presidency Chief Advisor Vedat Bilgin and Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, and informed Ak Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş with Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın. stated that concerns and red lines were expressed.

Çalışkan also stated that the negotiations and struggle with the political and bureaucratic authorities will continue until a result is achieved in order to protect the job security of the railway personnel and not to compromise their acquired rights.

Afterwards, Chairman Çalışkan went to Adana Teachers Center with Memur-Sen Adana Provincial Representative Mehmet Sezer and Transportation Officer-Sen organization members, and met with National and Local Press members at the press meeting program organized by the Branch, and gave information and answered questions on the subject.
