An 8.4 percent monthly increase occurred in public transport in Istanbul in February. While the daily trip exceeded 3 million, buses were preferred the most. Student transitions increased 13.7 percent; Over 60 years of age transition decreased 6.1 percent. On weekdays, an average of 400 thousand 771 vehicles passed the collar daily. The busiest day of the collar was Monday, February 8th.

8.4 percent increase in public transport

While 78 million 604 thousand 985 trips took place in public transport in January, it increased by 8.4 percent to 85 million 173 thousand 904 in February. In February, the daily average number of trips reached 3 million 41 thousand 925.

Student transitions increased by 13.7 percent

There was an increase of 7.3 percent in citizen crossings, 13.7 percent in student crossings and 4.1 percent in disabled citizens' travels. Journeys over the age of 60 decreased 6.1 percent.

Weekend trip increased by 7.6 percent

In February, compared to January, there was an 8.4 percent increase in weekdays and a 7.6 percent increase on weekends.

The busiest collar crossing took place on February 8

On weekdays, an average of 400 thousand 771 vehicles passed the collar daily. The busiest day of the collar crossing was Monday, February 475, with 358 thousand 8 vehicles. The distribution in the collar transition was 39.7 percent July 15, 42.2 percent FSM, 8.1 percent YSS and 10 percent Eurasia Tunnel.

Busiest hours are between 15.00 and 16.00

Collar transition took place between 15.00-16.00 and at least 03.00-04.00.

In the Bulletin, which was prepared using the data of the Public Transportation Services Directorate, BELBİM and İBB Transportation Management Center, speed and duration studies were carried out by using the sensors on the main routes.
