While 72 percent of the participants said they think the tourism sector will revive this summer, 80 percent stated that the employment rate in tourism should increase.

As we entered the spring month, vacation plans started to be made. While another summer that will pass in the shadow of the pandemic awaits us, the number of people waiting for the revival of tourism with the measures taken is quite high. 57 percent did not take a vacation last summer

The first case was found in March 2020 in Turkey. Last summer was the first summer in the shadow of the pandemic. While 81 percent of the participants stated that the employment rate in the tourism sector decreased during the pandemic, 80 percent stated that the employment rate in tourism should increase.

Destination local tourism

The priority of those who plan a vacation is domestic travel. 64 percent of the participants stated that they will have a domestic holiday, while 36 percent stated that they can make a plan abroad. It was seen that the course of the pandemic in America was effective in holiday plans. While 71 percent of those who said that they could have a holiday abroad stated that they would prefer Europe, the rate of those who said that they would prefer America was 29 percent. "Can you investigate the epidemic situation in the country / city you will go to?" 85 percent of the participants answered "yes" to the question.

The price still matters

Although hygiene and non-crowded environments come to the fore in our preferences, materiality still maintains its importance during the holiday. 54 percent of the respondents stated that they will pay attention to the location and price of the hotel they will prefer, while 46 percent stated that they will pay attention to not being crowded and being clean.

The rate of those who say "we can do whatever is necessary" is 68 percent.

In pandemic conditions, especially relocation is possible under strict control. However, this does not seem to deter holidaymakers. 68 percent of the participants answered yes to the question, would you do anything you want to go on vacation, such as vaccines, tests and extra documents.

Vaccination passport found positive

In the shadow of the epidemic, new applications for a holiday are also on the agenda. The European Union continues to work for the vaccine passport, which will include coronavirus vaccines and negative test results. The World Health Organization announced that the vaccine passport is perhaps inevitable for this summer, but it is not a mandatory recommendation by them. While 67 percent of the participants thought that the vaccine passport would be a good practice, 33 percent did not see it as a necessary practice.
