Passengers of the Moscow Metro can now receive a personal Troika card with photos and names. Troika users can do so via the Moscow Metro mobile app, from the Moscow Metro's gift shop or website (shop.mosmetro.ru) they can.
Passengers have the choice of one of nine design options. To save on card balance, Troika holders can transfer money on their old cards through the Moscow Metro application. More than 1000 passengers applied for an individual Troika card in just one week.
Since November 2020, passengers can manage their Troika card by linking it to their personal account via the Moscow Metro app. New features include automatic top-up service, low balance notifications, and money transfers between user's cards.
