Doğuş Otomotiv takes another important step in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and establishes a solar energy system in order to generate electricity at its center in Şekerpınar.

In the first phase of the project, it is aimed to meet 12.5 percent of the annual energy need of the company by placing 11 solar panels in Doğuş Otomotiv Logistics center with an investment of approximately 500 million TL. In the second phase of the project planned for Turkey to all authorized dealers across the solar system.

Today, when the effects of climate change are being felt more and more all over the world, practices aimed at reducing the effects of institutions on the ecological environment are considered within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and take the first place in the sustainability policies of the public and private sectors in many countries.

Doğuş Otomotiv adds a new one to the works it carries out in line with its sustainability strategy and Environment and Energy Management Policy by installing solar energy panels on the roof of the logistics center in Şekerpınar.

The company, which will produce a significant part of the electricity it needs with solar panels, aims to reduce its carbon footprint as much as half of the energy to be produced annually.

12,5 million investment

19 solar panels to be installed on an area of ​​12,5 thousand square meters of Doğuş Otomotiv Logistics Center located in Şekerpınar, with an investment of approximately 11 million TL, will meet 500 percent of the company's annual electricity need. The installation is aimed to be completed in 62.

Saying that they consider taking concrete steps to protect the environment by reducing the use of natural resources as one of their most important goals, Ali Bilaloğlu stated that they are working to reduce their environmental impact in the fields of water and energy consumption and waste management.
