EGO General Directorate Transportation Planning and Rail System Department, affiliated to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, carried out a detailed cleaning study on the M1 Metro line in the curfew restriction applied at the weekend.
Due to the extensive cleaning works carried out on the Ankara Metro Kızılay-Batıkent line, also known as the M1 line, the line was disconnected from the energy and Occupational Health and Safety measures were taken. The environment was cleaned by the cleaning unit under the supervision of Line Maintenance Technicians.
On Sunday, February 28, 2021, in the study, which was carried out at 11 stations and was attended by 55 cleaning personnel, 11 cleaning chiefs and 1 field coordinator, the area around the line was cleaned from plastic bottles, various glass bottles and plastic waste.
We remind that all our citizens have a common responsibility for a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment, and we strongly urge our passengers who use the public transport system to comply with the hygiene and cleanliness rules and to be more sensitive to the environment.
