Turkey's growing defense industry, TUBITAK Bilgen to produce original and local solutions for the defense of our seas with significant contributions, and continues to grow stronger.

In order to end our dependence on abroad in submarine warfare management systems, our four Preveze Class Submarines in the Navy inventory are modernized with the "MÜREN PREVEZE Combat Management System (SYS)" developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM. Within the scope of MÜREN PREVEZE SYS project signed on August 1, 2017; Various capabilities, including integration with 20 different sensors and navigation systems, sonar signal processing, target movement analysis, ship navigation and modern heavy class torpedo launching, continue to be developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM engineers with the contributions of ARMERKOM cooperation and defense industry companies.

NATIONAL HEAVY TORPIDO IGNITION CAPABILITY WILL BE GAINED TO THE NATIONAL UNDERWATER WAR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH AKYA

MÜREN PREVEZE SYS - Akya Torpedo Integration Project was signed between Istanbul Naval Supply Group Command and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM on 08 March 2021 in order to add new ones to the obtained features. With this project, AKYA, the first domestic and national heavy class torpedo developed by ROKETSAN, will be integrated into the MÜREN PREVEZE SYS, and the national warfare management system will be equipped with the national torpedo firing capability.

The factory acceptance tests for the first Preveze Class Submarine have been completed, and the work continues for the placement of the MÜREN SYS on the ship. After the first ship completed the sea acceptance tests this year, the gains obtained with MÜREN SYS will also constitute the infrastructure for the National Submarine development studies.
