Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “We are in a tough job, we expect understanding from our citizens” regarding the multi-storey intersection at the intersection of General Hulusi Akar Boulevard and Aşık Veysel Boulevard and 2 U underpasses. Mayor Büyükkılıç also pointed out that the grievances caused by the obligatory works are temporary, apologizing to the residents of the region for their inconvenience and thanked them for their understanding.

Mayor Büyükkılıç supervised the multi-storey junction and 2 U underpass works on Hulusi Akar Boulevard, one of the important main arteries of the city, and Aşık Veysel Boulevard. Mayor Büyükkılıç, who saw the latest situation regarding the projects designed by the Metropolitan Municipality to ensure an uninterrupted traffic flow in the critical region where transportation to the neighborhoods with high density population is provided, received on-site information about the displacement of drinking water lines and other infrastructure works.

Mayor Büyükkılıç, in his statement here, stated that the construction of multi-storey intersection and underpass was accelerated so that the Light Rail System Line Construction project between Furkan Doğan Yurdu and Anayurt, the tender of which has been completed and will be started in the coming days, without delay.

"WE ARE ENOUGH TO NOT VICTIM OUR CITIZENS"

Emphasizing that all the necessary measures were taken to ensure the continuity of the traffic without interruption by working on alternative routes before both the multi-storey intersection construction works and the displacement of the infrastructure lines, Büyükkılıç said:

“We are in a laborious business and we are aware of it. Inevitably, we have to victimize our citizens to some extent. With the idea of how to manage this process in the most efficient way, in the shortest time, we are in a coordinated working process with our KASKI, Kayserigaz and the Department of Science. There are three separate studies here. We are in the endeavors and good intention of doing this capacity job in a short time without harming our citizens. In order not to make the citizens suffer, it was thought about this study, which was carried out at a point where the main pipe of our KASKI passes, which is almost the lifeblood of the city. Our citizens were at their homes due to the curfew on Sunday. If we had caused the water cut on Sunday, we would have gotten a lot of backlash, rightly. While trying to start this on Monday morning and try to solve the water problem and overcome it in a short time, we are aware that we inevitably cause some trouble in terms of traffic. We have worked and made efforts for the least amount of victimization. Our teams worked quickly on our instructions, as soon as our KASKI's work was finished, our asphalt team got involved in our Science Works. In about 800 hours, this problem was solved. "

Mayor Büyükkılıç apologized for the inconvenience he gave to the citizens and said, “When such applications occur, we expect our citizens to welcome them with understanding, we apologize for the pain and inconvenience we have given to our citizens. If this intersection is to be made, such applications may occur, we thank our citizens who welcome us with understanding ”.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WILL BE FRIENDLY WHEN COMPLETED

When Aşık Veysel Boulevard and Hulusi Akar Boulevard crossroad, which plays an important role in the transportation of the city's highly populated districts, Erciyes University and Talas district, and will cost 30 million 548 thousand TL, the traffic in terms of both rail system lines and land vehicles It will greatly relax.
