A ceremony was held at the Sound Theater for the master actor Rasim Öztekin, who died at the age of 62 in the hospital where he was hospitalized due to a heart disease.
The artist's coffin, wrapped in the Turkish flag, left the main gate of Galatasaray High School and was taken to the Ses Theater for the commemoration ceremony.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who attended the ceremony, stated that he was deeply saddened by Öztekin's death and said, “(Öztekin) Our smiling face, emotions and thoughts, sometimes ourselves, and sometimes very different human stories, managed to be our guide on television, cinema and theater screens. " said.
Minister Ersoy said that the master artist achieved a very different success by making the audience feel that he is in life while performing his role.
Underlining that Öztekin is an irreplaceable artist, Minister Ersoy continued his words as follows:
“This untimely death made our art lovers, especially his family, and our esteemed artists very sad. Our duty is to carry his memory to future generations, to ensure that he is always in mind and to ensure that his mastery and teaching skills are passed on to future generations. We will continue to cooperate with all of our art institutions, especially for our theater community, whatever is up to us. We lost a very valuable master. First of all, I wish condolences to his family, you artists and art lovers. I wish mercy from God and patience to you. "

Öztekin's body was buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after the prayer in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery Mosque.
