In the statements made, the Short Work Allowance (KÇÖ), which has been paid to more than 3 million 756 thousand employees from the Unemployment Insurance Fund, reached 27 billion 666 million TL. As it is known, the short-time work allowance was determined according to the lowest minimum wage and was 60% of the salary, while the highest allowance was made at 150% of the gross minimum wage. Accordingly, within the scope of short-time work allowance, the lowest 2.146,50 TL and the highest 5.336 TL were paid.
Following the Cabinet Meeting on February 19, 17, where new measures related to the Covid-2021 outbreak were evaluated, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that gradual normalization steps will be taken, and that the short-time work allowance was extended once again and for the last time until March 31, 2021.
