IMM opened the fourth additional service building after Bakırköy, Kartal and Kasımpaşa in Adalar. Mayor of Islands Erdem Gül and IMM Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar attended the opening. In his opening speech, Çağlar stated that with the opening of the Additional Service Building, the residents of the Islands will be able to carry out all kinds of municipal procedures without going to the mainland.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) opened the IMM Additional Service Building in order to provide a better quality service to the residents of the Islands. The delegation, including IMM Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar and Deputy Secretary General Şengül Altan Arslan and Arif Gürkan Alpay, first visited Mayor of Islands Erdem Gül in his office. Gül, Çağlar and his associates then opened the İBB Adalar Additional Service building located in Büyükada Clock Square.
Speaking at the opening, Erdem Gül talked about the importance of the Islands for IMM and emphasized the importance of cooperation in the works to be carried out without damaging the historical texture and identity of the Islands. "We will walk together with the Adalar Municipality and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for the Islands," said Gul.
In his speech, IMM Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar emphasized the importance of the residents of the Islands to be able to handle all kinds of municipal procedures without going to the mainland. Çağlar said, “We are pleased that İSKİ's subscription and all teller transactions have started in our Additional Service Building. Also, our White Table unit, which will enable us to listen closely to the problems and suggestions of our citizens in the district of Adalar, is also in service in our building ”.
ISKI HAS A WHITE TABLE AND TOURISM OFFICE
In his speech, Çağlar mentioned the historical and touristic importance of the Islands, and stated that the tourism office has also started to serve in the newly opened Additional Service Building. Underlining that there is a lot of work carried out in the district of Adalar, Çağlar said in the continuation of his speech:
“As you know, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a revolutionary project in Adalar district in the new period. The phaetons that have been the subject of serious complaints for many years have been removed. Electric vehicles were used in transportation. Our procurement efforts continue to strengthen our IETT fleet in this area. Access to taxi service has become easier with a GSM line to each island. On the one hand, our efforts to renew our asphalt continue rapidly. "
There are different units in the İBB Adalar Additional Service Building, such as the White Table, İSKİ, and Tourism Information Department.
