Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, whose insistent struggle for the purchase of new buses to the Capital in Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council, accelerated the two-stage bidding process for the purchase of 282 buses. Yavaş announced that the second phase of the tender will be held on March 31, in his post on social media accounts.
Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who emphasized at every opportunity that the existing buses serving in the capital are twice older than the world and that the last bus purchase took place in 2013, has yielded results in the insistent struggle of the Metropolitan Municipality Council for credit approval.
In his statement at the press conference held after the Metropolitan Municipality Council in December 2020, he said, “We signed the protocol. Saying that God willing, we will bring Ankara to new buses as soon as possible, ”said Yavaş, and accelerated the tender process for the citizens of the capital to have their new buses, which they have been waiting for years.
While the qualification certificates of the companies were received in the first stage of the two-stage tender, the second stage of the tender, in which the companies will submit their price offers, was announced by Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş as 31 March 2021. Informing the people of Başkent in his post on social media accounts, Yavaş said, “We will hold the second phase of the tender, which we organize for the purchase of 90 buses, 282% of which are natural gas, for nature. 282 DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN FAMOUS COMPANIES WILL COMPETE IN THE BUS PURCHASE TENDER
EGO General Directorate completed the examination process by receiving the qualification certificates of 17 domestic and foreign world-renowned companies on February 7.
For the second phase of the tender, the General Directorate of EGO, which will realize the "31 Bus Purchase (GRCF14.30 W282-Ankara Bus Project)" on Wednesday, March 2 at 2, will receive the price offers of the participating companies.
ENVIRONMENTAL BUSES WILL BE EARNED TO THE CAPITAL TRANSPORT
While 1999 vehicles of 97 model in the bus fleet are expected to be scrapped due to the completion of their economic life, the General Directorate of EGO will purchase a total of 90 (282 CNG, 254 diesel) buses, 28% of which are natural gas (CNG). It took action to build the Natural Gas Filling Station.
After the approval of the 57 million Euro loan request by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the bus purchase tender, which has been awaited by the citizens of Başkent for years, will be broadcast live on ABB TV and the social media accounts of the Metropolitan Municipality on 31 March.
