Work has begun on the Kuruçeşme Tram line, which will be built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. Drilling works are underway for the pedestrian overpass to be built in front of Acıbadem Hospital. Within the scope of the project, a pedestrian overpass will be built in front of Acıbadem Hospital and Izmit High School. The two overpasses are planned to be completed in 5 months.

2 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES WILL BE MADE

The tram line, which will be built between Plajyolu Kuruçeşme, will pass from Plajyolu stop to Kuruçeşme Junction, over the D-100, with a 332-meter steel tram bridge. A total of 812 meters of double-line tram line, 1 station and 2 pedestrian bridges will be built.

INFRASTRUCTURE DISPLACEMENT WILL BE MADE

The current D-100 going to Istanbul direction will be connected from the İzmit western toll booths Yazıhane location and Kuruçeşme Junction will be rearranged. 1 transformer center will be established to provide the energy of the line. The existing roads on the route where the tram line passes and the Izmit-Istanbul direction West Highway entrance will be renewed. The displacement of the infrastructures on the route will be made within the scope of this project.
