Trabzon Municipality, Trabzon Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate, Istanbul University, Turkey and the protocol signed some time ago by the Mountaineering Federation, Mountain Ski Junior and Senior Championship of Turkey, Trabzon Çaykara District was held at Haldizen Plateau. Organized for the first time in Trabzon, the championship attracted great attention from nature lovers as well as athletes.
Championship, Turkey Mountaineering Federation President Prof. Dr. Ersan Başar, Çaykara District Governor Osman Çelikkol, Çaykara Mayor Hanefi Tok, Trabzon Youth and Sports Provincial Director Birdal Öztürk, Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department Head Ayhan Pala, Trabzon University Sport Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih Bektaş, Trabzon Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Mustafa Ayan and many athletes attended. The awards were given to the top athletes in the competition.
ORGANIZED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Speaking at the award ceremony, President of the Mountaineering Federation of Turkey Prof. Ersan awesome, "2021 Turkey Mountain Ski Championship in Trabzon Çaykara We completed the Haldizen Plateau. This championship is one of the most important activities in our country. It is also important for us to determine the national team athletes at the end of the championship. While we were doing the championship, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality gave us great support. Our Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and other institutions also provided support. Especially this area is very important for mountain skiing. We think that the training of athletes will make an important contribution to nature tourism in terms of nature sports. Especially in this region located in Haldızen and the Eastern Black Sea region, there are areas suitable for skiing. Therefore, we have organized such a competition for the first time. We hope that mountain skiing will develop further with the work done here and come where it wants ”.

The President of the Mountaineering Federation, who also thanked Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu, Prof. Dr. Başar said, “Our young athletes are leaving happily thanks to our President Murat Zorluoğlu. They did not leave us alone in the event held for the first time in this region. They gave support. We especially want to thank him heartily ”.
