Passengers traveling with the airline's Airbus A350 fleet will be introduced to an application that will minimize the risk of COVID-19; Passengers will soon be able to connect to the award-winning Oryx One inflight entertainment system via their personal electronic devices.

The award-winning airline will also be the first airline in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to offer passengers the option of pairing personal bluetooth headsets with the in-flight entertainment system in all cabins in its Boeing 787-9 fleet.

Qatar Airways recently became the first global airline to receive 19 stars in Skytrax's prestigious COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating under COVID-5 security measures.

Qatar Airways is proud to be the first global airline to offer its passengers Zero-Touch 'Zero-Touch' technology for the award-winning Oryx One inflight entertainment system in its A19 fleet, as a new part of the COVID-350 security measures it has received.

Zero-Touch technology, offered in partnership with the Thales AVANT IFE system, allows A350 passengers to connect their personal electronic devices to Wi-Fi with 'Oryxcomms' and match the in-flight entertainment system after scanning the QR code displayed on the screen. After the connection, passengers will be able to use their phones or tablets to enjoy more than 4.000 options available in the airline's award-winning Oryx One inflight entertainment system. Qatar Airways is also set to become the first airline to offer business travelers the option to pair personal bluetooth headsets with the inflight entertainment system in all cabins of the Boeing 787-9 for business travelers in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
