Turkey's first 'Intermodal Logistics Center is built on 680 thousand square meters of Samsun into the new Logistics Center Mobile Customs Point was opened. With this service, customs clearance of trucks that will export by road will now be made.

In order to carry out logistics activities faster and on site, the Ministry of Commerce completed all kinds of electronic infrastructure in Samsun Logistics Center and put Mobile Customs Point into operation. With the Mobile Customs application, the operations of logistics companies operating in the Samsun Logistics Center and export goods that will be shipped to countries such as Europe, Georgia, Turkic Republics, Iran, Iraq by road will be carried out in the Logistics Center, which has large parking areas in this area without affecting the city traffic. This center, which is considered to make a great contribution to the industrialists, exporters and logistics sector operating in Samsun and surrounding provinces, started to serve.

Governor Zülkif Dağlı, who made the opening, said, “We are doing a good job. We filled all of the warehouses in our Logistics Center as of yesterday. We have 300 decares of land and new projects here. I hope we are taking important steps together to make Samsun a logistics center. Here, we are at a very important point in the middle of the railway, airway, sea route and road. "We will bring our Samsun to where it should be, by improving the logistics opportunities."

Providing information about Mobile Customs Point, Central Black Sea Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Manager Regional Manager Ersin Başaran said, “Customs procedures were carried out in Samsun Customs Directorate. Instead of going to the port area, a mobile service point was established with the permission of our ministry to carry out export transactions to be made from here, especially by road. Customs procedures will be made for the trucks that will export by road, ”he said.

Following the opening, the Governor visited Dağlı Mobile Customs Point. Dağlı, who examined the work of the customs officers, carried out the sealing process of the two trucks going to Russia. The opening was attended by Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Samsun TSO Board of Directors and Samsun Organized Industry Center President Fahri Eldemir, Samsun TSO Board Member Ayhan Çakır, Samsun Logistics Center General Manager Temel Uzlu and customs officers.
