ETCS Level-1 train dynamic test studies of the Signalization Facilities whose construction was completed within the scope of Konya - Karaman High Speed Train Project started on 08.02.2021 from Çumra Station. Test drives of Konya-Karaman High Speed Line, starting from Çumra station, will continue until 15 March.

When the Konya-Karaman High Speed Train Project is completed, the travel time from 1 hour 15 minutes between Konya and Karaman will be reduced to 35 minutes.

In the Konya-Karaman line section; After the completion of infrastructure, superstructure, electrification works and station arrangement works, the line was commissioned electrically. After the completion of the signalization studies, the signaling tests on the line were started at Çumra Station as a "Level-1 Test". In the works carried out in accordance with the test procedure of the signaling system, open line and in-station signaling systems are tested separately by the railway vehicle. Dynamic train tests, which were first started between Kaşınhan-Çumra Stations, will continue.

In the line section constructed in accordance with 102 km and 200 km / h; 1.8 million m3 excavation, 1.7 million m3 fill, 74 bridges and culverts, 11 pedestrian underpasses and overpasses were built.

In addition, work continues in the 135-kilometer Karaman-Ulukışla section, the other part of the Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla line, and 73% physical progress has been achieved. In project scope; The construction of the new railway, which was built at a speed of 200 km / h, and the construction of 2 tunnels, 12 bridges, 44 under-overpasses and 141 culverts were also planned. Design studies for signalization continue.

With the construction of a high speed train line suitable for 200 km / h speed between Konya-Karaman-Adana within the scope of the project; It is aimed to transfer the cargo coming from Konya and Ulukışla to Mersin and İskenderun ports faster and to increase the line capacity of 34 pairs per day by 3 times.
