Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced the airline plane, passenger and freight statistics for January 2021.
Passengers met with the comfort of the airline at our environmentally and passenger-friendly airports, where all necessary measures were taken for the Corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In January, when the number of aircraft landing and taking off at our airports reached 40.055 in domestic lines and 19.772 in international flights, a total of 73.734 aircraft traffic was realized with overpasses.
This month, Turkey serving domestic airports in overall traffic of 3.366.034 passengers, international passenger traffic was 1.858.312. In this month, a total of 5.227.452 passengers were served, including direct transit passengers.
Airport freight (cargo, mail and baggage) traffic; In January, it was 36.715 tons on domestic lines, 150.426 tons on international lines and 187.141 tons in total.
1.681.732 PASSENGERS WERE SERVED AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN JANUARY
Aircraft traffic landing and taking off at Istanbul Airport in January reached 3.692 in total, 11.382 on domestic lines and 15.074 on international lines.
At this airport, a total of 423.107 passengers, 1.258.625 passengers on domestic lines and 1.681.732 on international routes, were served in the mine.
At Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continue, there was 2.832 aircraft traffic in January.
Thus, a total of 17.906 aircraft traffic was realized at these two airports.
