Aegean Exporters' Associations Secretary General İ. Cumhur İşbırakmaz and some of his employees came to work at the Aegean Exporters' Unions with their bicycles on February 12 - The Day of Cycling to Work in Winter.
The Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi stated that a significant portion of EİB employees come to work on bicycles, apart from “February 12 - Winter Day to Cycle to Work”, and noted that İzmir enables the widespread use of bicycles with its geographical and climate structure. “February 12 - Detailed information about your Cycling Day to Work in Winter can be found at winterbiketoworkday.org.
Eskinazi mentioned that the bicycle roads and BISIM Project, which Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has implemented to improve the use of bicycles in the city, and the fruits of the newly built bicycle path routes have begun to reap, “There is an increase in demand for bicycles in the world. In 2020, our bicycle exports reached 92 million dollars. "We expect the use of bicycles and exports to increase as the awareness about climate change increases worldwide."
