8th and 12th grade students, who are permitted for face-to-face education in Istanbul, will be able to use public transport with the documents they will receive in their institutions regarding their course and working hours.

A statement was made by the Istanbul Governorship regarding the students who were exempted from public transport and curfews applied for under 20 years of age within the scope of Corona virus measures. In the statement, it was stated that students will be able to use public transportation on the route they will go, with the documents to be obtained from the educational institutions, during their classes and working hours.

The decision taken by the Governorship of Istanbul on the subject is as follows: “Within the scope of combating the coronavirus epidemic, it has been decided to gradually start face-to-face formal education in line with the decisions taken in the Presidential Cabinet convened on 01.02.2021 under the chairmanship of our President, and within the framework of the Circular No. 03.02.2021 dated 1969 published by the Ministry of Interior;

1- The exemption from the curfew restriction limited to the route and the relevant hours, provided that the students / teachers / employees of the educational institutions approved by the Ministry of National Education document their status with the institution address to be given by the educational institutions and the document containing the study / course schedule.

2- It has been decided that the students / teachers / employees of the educational institutions that remain within the scope of the above article will be exempted from the restriction of using urban public transportation vehicles (metro, metrobus, bus, minibus, minibus, etc.).
