TEM highway is the European Motorway that starts from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and reaches Bazargan in Iran. Turkey is 6 thousand 962 kilometers in length. TEM highway stands for Trans Europan Motorway. It is named as the Trans - European North - South Motorway Project (TEM).

The project began in Kapitan Andreevo Border Gate in the borders of Turkey, East Sarp Border Gate to Gürbulak, reaching out to the Cilvegözü and Habur Border Gate in the south. Most of our roads included in the TEM Project are also a part of the International E-ROADS network.

Azerbaijan is at the membership stage.

With the construction and management of a modern highway and expressway system connecting the Baltic, Adriatic, Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea, divided and providing at least two lanes in each direction, safe, uninterrupted and comfortable traffic service with high physical and geometric standards, Aiming to contribute, the TEM Project largely overlaps with the Trans-European Networks of the European Union member countries.

The part of the TEM Project road network, which has a total length of 1.1.2011 km as of 24.931, is approximately 01.01.2019 m as of 6.940, and this length constitutes approximately 28% of the entire TEM network.
