Support of Izmir Metropolitan to Flood Victims Exceeds 13 Million Lira

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality paid over 2 million lira in cash support for the 94 households and workplaces that suffered financial damage due to the flood disaster on February 8. Taking action to determine the damages and losses in the urban countryside, Metropolitan decided to pay 9 percent of the damage amount of 50 million lira determined in the first place to the producers. Thus, the cash support to be provided by the Metropolitan Municipality to flood victims will reach 13 million lira.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to heal the wounds of the flood disaster that took place on February 2. A support payment of 13 million 94 thousand 8 liras was made for one thousand 636 households and workplaces in 500 districts in order to compensate the financial losses of flood victims. Support payments deposited into the victims' accounts will be able to be withdrawn by the beneficiaries as of Monday, February 15th. The Metropolitan Municipality decided to provide 2 thousand-12 thousand TL support for the houses damaged in the flood and 2 thousand-15 thousand TL for workplaces, and started the damage assessment studies quickly. Metropolitan continues to receive applications regarding financial damages caused by the flood.

9 percent of 50 million lira of damage will be covered

The decision regarding financial support to producers whose agricultural lands and their cultivated lands were damaged due to floods and floods came from the Metropolitan Municipality Council made yesterday. Büyükşehir Bayındır, which formed five separate damage assessment commissions under the Agricultural Services Department, completed field and field studies in 13 neighborhoods of Menderes, Seferihisar and Torbalı districts. Having recorded the loss and damage rates of 477 villagers and farmers affected by the flood, the Metropolitan decided to pay 9 percent of the damage amount of 50 million lira determined in the first place to the producers.
