Pirelli unveils new cinturato all season sf tires

Pirelli has introduced the new Cinturato All Season SF2 tire that complies with current winter tire regulations. Offering safe driving experience in all weather conditions, the tire can be used all year round. The new all-season Cinturato featuring state-of-the-art tire technologies is used for the first time in the 'matching tread pattern' system, which uses both compound and tread structure to maximize driving safety and versatility. In addition to Pirelli Seal Inside and Run Flat technologies, which allow drivers to keep on the road even if the tire is punctured, Elect marked version is also offered for electric and rechargeable hybrid vehicles.

YEAR-LONG TREATMENT

The Cinturato All Season SF2 is available for modern urban vehicles from the latest SUVs to mid-size sedans, with 15 sizes from 20 to 65 inches. The sidewall of the tire features the M + S symbol and the 3PMSF (three-peak mountain and snowflake symbol) sign. Indicating the tire's excellent performance even in winter conditions, these marks also document compliance with European legislation through certain tests. The newest member of the Cinturato family offers an ideal option for drivers who drive mostly in urban and mountainous areas, in mild weather conditions and travel an average of 25.000 kilometers per year. The tread pattern and compound of all-season tires are able to balance well enough to perform well in both wet and dry asphalt at low and high temperatures and provide versatile use. While drivers looking for maximum performance are recommended to switch between winter and summer tires, all-season tires are a comfortable and carefree option for many other drivers throughout the life of the tire.

SAFETY ON DRY, WET AND SNOWY GROUND

The Cinturato All Season SF2 delivers one of the best performances in its class in every driving situation encountered throughout the year. This is confirmed by the fact that the new Cinturato was awarded the 'Performance Mark' (1) (Performance Mark) by the recently renowned German test institute TÜV SÜD.

As another German reference, Dekra has also documented that the Cinturato All Season SF2 offers excellent control with shorter braking distances in dry conditions, better handling on snow than one-to-one competitors, and excellent braking performance on both wet and snowy roads. Compared to its predecessor, the Cinturato All Season Plus reduces the braking distance by 3,5 meters in dry conditions and approximately 2 meters (3) in wet conditions. Compared to its predecessor, the tire's performance on snowy roads is also improved in terms of both road holding and braking (about 1 meter (3) gain).

LONGER TIRE LIFE

Along with the profile and structure of the Cinturato All Season SF2, the new tread pattern optimizes driving capability thanks to its evenly distributed contact surface, while extending tire life up to 50% compared to the previous Cinturato All Season Plus version. This impressive result is achieved thanks to the use of new ingredients in the doughs and the improvement of the localized hardness of the tread pattern.

LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION

As seen during the tests carried out by Dekra (2), the new generation compatible tread pattern compound also creates lower rolling resistance compared to the main competitors. Lower rolling resistance means improved fuel consumption or longer range in electric cars fitted with Elect marked tires. Benefiting from an environmental sustainability perspective, this also raises the tire label classification to category B in rolling resistance for the majority of the Cinturato All Season SF2 range.

THE QUIEST OF ALL SEASON TIRES

The Cinturato All Season SF2 was the quietest tire in its class in tests conducted by Dekra (2) in comparison with major competitors. Thanks to the special compound and tread pattern, the noise level is reduced to a minimum, which also contributes positively to the environment.

CINTURATO ALL SEASON SF2: PRODUCTION COMPATIBLE FOR MORE SAFETY

The rubber's compound and tread pattern, which can automatically adapt to different temperatures in summer and winter for safe use, make it possible to perfect braking performance in variable driving and weather conditions. The grooves in the tread pattern remain open in cold weather in winter, providing better braking on snowy ground, while closing when braking in wet and dry conditions, hardening the tread blocks and better grip on the ground.

For this adaptive system, the 3D technology of the tread pattern grooves, which closes when there is no snow, turns the winter tread pattern into a summer tire and thus improves the handling of the vehicle on normal wet and dry surfaces.

In the tread pattern, the lateral grooves are increasingly divided into sections, and a wide central channel ensures effective discharge of water when it rains, while increasing safety and resistance to aquaplaning.

The lifetime of the dough is also doubled: soft and harmonious performance in cold and wet conditions, and a hard and stable performance in dry conditions. This concept, made possible by innovative components of the pulp, including biphasic polymeric materials chemically bonded to each other with silica particles, also offers lower rotational resistance to reduce fuel consumption or achieve longer range with the battery.

'ACCESSORIES' IN CINTURATO ALL SEASON SF2

Some sizes of the Cinturato All Season SF2 are available with innovative Seal Inside technology to give the rider an even greater sense of safety. This technology allows the driver to keep on the road, even with punctures up to 4 millimeters in size. A special gel-like substance placed inside the tire quickly covers any object that pierces the tread, preventing the air from escaping and maintaining the pressure. When the piercing object is removed, this gel-like substance covers the hole. Pirelli's Self-Supporting Run Flat feature is also available as an option. Thanks to this feature, which increases safety while continuing the journey, it is ensured that the vehicle remains balanced even in the event of a sudden drop in tire pressure and can travel up to 80 kilometers at a maximum speed of 80 km / h. These tires can support the lateral and vertical loads on the car thanks to the reinforcements placed inside the sidewall structure.

ELECT: MAXIMUM AUTONOMY IN ELECTRIC AND RECHARGABLE HYBRID CARS

Cinturato All Season SF2 tires with the Elect mark are now available for electric and rechargeable hybrid vehicles. These tires use a variety of technologies to maximize the range of each car, with compound, structure and tread pattern guaranteeing lower rolling resistance. These tires, which create less noise to increase comfort in the vehicle, provide instant grip to take advantage of the power and real torque of electric cars.

6 MONTHS 'TYRELIFE' WARRANTY FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY USER ERRORS

Pirelli's new all-season tire comes with a 'Tyrelife' guarantee, which allows one tire to be changed per set for damage that is not repaired as a result of user error within the first 6 months of purchase, giving drivers even more peace of mind. For the Tyrelife Tire Warranty, it is sufficient for the customers to register by visiting the Tyrelife page on pirelli.com.tr within 15 days of purchasing the tires.

CINTURATO FROM 1950'S TO TODAY

Safety and efficiency have been at the heart of the Pirelli Cinturato tire family for over 70 years. Cinturato, which the Pirelli marketing department initially described as "the magnificent new tire with its own seat belt in it," became the equipment of the world's most important cars in the 1950s. Pirelli started with the first tires equipped with the most famous cars of the period and continued to develop the concept of sporty road tires that were needed to give sports cars such as the Ferrari 250 GT, 400 Superamerica, Lamborghini Miura, Maserati 4000 and 5000 as much grip as possible. Subsequently, the first low profile tires with even higher performance were introduced, which were particularly successful on rallies. Thanks to this experience, other tires with an innovative radial belt were introduced to the market. Later, the first Cinturato P7 was launched with groundbreaking innovations such as a zero degree nylon belt and ultra-low profile. While the development of the P7 continued, Cinturato P7 and P2000 followed until the 6s, when a new version of the Cinturato P6000, which stands out with its features such as reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions, was introduced to the market. Pirelli launched the new summer tire Cinturato P7, developed in collaboration with the world's leading premium car manufacturers, last year. This new tire achieves superior levels of safety in both dry and wet conditions thanks to an innovative compound with 'mechanical intelligence' that can adjust the behavior to the operating temperature. Complementing the product range, the Cinturato Winter tire appeals to dynamic drivers who take long journeys for business or pleasure and seek the best performance even in typical cold weather conditions.
