Eskişehir Environmental Protection and Development Association (ESÇEVDER) visited the Presidency of the Eskişehir Irrigation Union in order to get information about irrigation channels and to convey the complaints of the public due to the complaints that have increased in recent days.

Meeting with the Head of Eskişehir Irrigation Union, Agricultural Engineer Yunus Ağan, members of the association stated the following after the meeting:

“The situation of the waste and garbage occurring in the open and closed water channels passing through our city, even the septic tank connections that may be connected to the rainwater lines and the responsible persons and institutions related to these problems were discussed. Yunus Ağan complained that "the cleaning of the water channels is under their responsibility, but they cannot clean them adequately due to the insufficient financial means and that the cleaned canals are turned into garbage piles in a short time by our people." In order to prevent this, it has been conveyed that we, as the Environment Association, will be able to do whatever we can to prevent our people from polluting the irrigation channels and that we will discuss with the relevant institutions and organizations.

In addition, it was emphasized that the importance of the closed system irrigation project, which can start from the Porsuk dam and irrigate the Eskişehir and Alpu plain, should come to the fore once again. It was emphasized that institutions and organizations should take responsibility in this regard.

Eskişehir Irrigation Union administrators Agriculture Eng. Yusuf Ağan, Police Eng. Özer Ülker, Civil Engineer. Çiğdem Canbolat and Eskişehir Environmental Protection and Development Association (ESCEVDER) executives Mechanical Engineer. Sadık Yurtman, Matetikçi Ramis Tunca, End. Eng.
