The statement made the statement that "2 more C130 E / B aircraft with avionics modernization will be delivered."
Within the scope of the Erciyes Modernization Project, the modernization activities of a total of 130 systems and 23 components continue with the central control computer of C117 aircraft, which was completely developed by TAI engineers and called the brain of the aircraft. TAI, which has completed the modernization of 19 aircraft in the Erciyes C130 modernization project, which includes a total of 7 aircraft, is expected to receive the 8th aircraft for modernization in the coming days.
TAI, which has redesigned the central control computer of Erciyes C130 aircraft by its engineers and assembled them on airplanes, also has GPS, indicator, anti-collision system, air radar, advanced military and civilian navigation systems, nighttime invisible lighting for military missions, sound recorded black box. carries out the modernization of critical parts such as communication systems, advanced automatic flight systems (military and civilian), the ability to operate in the military network, digital floating map and ground mission planning systems. In this way, the modernization, which also facilitates the mission capabilities of C130 aircraft, reduces the pilot's workload, as well as ensuring safe flight with automatic route tracking from take-off to landing.
With the modernization, C130 aircraft, whose situational awareness has increased, has been given the ability to land in airports precisely and safely. Aircraft, in which the latest technology has been integrated, attained execution capability as well as digital military / civil planning. Compliance with civil aviation rules has been achieved to save time and fuel. The first prototype aircraft was delivered in 2007 as part of the Erciyes C130 Project signed in 2014.
