Ankara Metropolitan Municipality took action to end the traffic problem on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard, which could not be solved for years. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who started road works in areas where accidents occur frequently by saying “priority for me is human health, human life”, this time pressed the button for two-bridge intersection work on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard. Due to the works, traffic flow will be directed to alternative routes as of January 30, 2021.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality took action for Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard, which endangered the life safety of citizens and drivers who have been living or working in the region for years and where traffic problems are experienced.
Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Mansur Yavaş, who has implemented transportation projects one by one in the capital, saying “Human health and human life is the priority for me”, pressed the button for the work of 2 bridged intersections on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard. The Metropolitan Municipality, which was put out to tender on November 4, 2020, will accelerate the work, and will provide traffic flow from alternative routes as of Saturday, January 30, 2021 for bridge construction works.
2 BRIDGE INTERSECTION WILL RELAX REGIONAL TRAFFIC
Works have been initiated by the Department of Science Affairs to construct two bridged intersections at the intersection of 2473. Street and 2474. Street between Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard (Istanbul Road) and Ankara Boulevard Şaşmaz Junction.
Within the scope of the project to be made as 2 round trips on the bridge, the side roads where industrial returns will be made will serve as 2 lanes. Due to the fact that the region is an industrial area and is on the line connecting the route of Istanbul Road to Eskişehir Road, the traffic density will decrease, and uninterrupted traffic flow and comfortable driving will be provided thanks to the bridged intersections.
TRAFFIC WILL BE DIRECTED TO ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
As of January 30, traffic flow will be directed to the following alternative routes so that citizens do not experience problems due to the bridge interchange works to be carried out on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard:
- Sanayi Boulevard-Eskişehir Road direction from Sanayi Boulevard 2664. Sokak.-2472. Avenue-2473. Against Sanayi Boulevard, on Avenue and 2480th Street,
- The direction of Sanayi Boulevard-Istanbul Road will be directed to the side road formed next to the normal transportation route on Sanayi Boulevard.
The works are planned to take 90 days depending on the condition of the infrastructure lines.
