Health and Social Service Workers' Union Izmir Branch Managers Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç SoyerHe paid a visit to Turkey for their support to health workers during the pandemic process.

Mayor Soyer, who hosted his guests at the İzmir Art Work Office in Kültürpark, said that healthcare professionals are performing an extremely important task. Soyer said, “No matter how much we support, it is little. I want you to know that we tried to support by pushing our own conditions to the end. Because you are doing a very valuable job. The devoted work done by all healthcare professionals is incredible. For this reason, we are very happy that we have contributed a little ”.

"You have an example to Turkey with your work"

SES İzmir Branch Co-President Erkan Batmaz stated that the coronavirus epidemic affected the whole world and it was a difficult process for everyone. Stating that they are tired and exhausted, Erkan Batmaz stated that Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has given them important support in difficult times and said, “We once again understood how important local governments are in the pandemic process. Izmir with his work in this process, be sure to be an example to Turkey with the support you have given to health care workers. We thank you for your special support while dealing with the epidemic ”.

SES executives gave President Soyer a thank you plaque and a desk calendar with photographs of healthcare professionals who lost their lives while fighting the pandemic.

Free transport continues for healthcare professionals

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality made a decision on March 20, 2020 for healthcare workers struggling with the coronavirus epidemic to benefit from public transportation free of charge. The Metropolitan Municipality has extended the free public transportation right it has given since 20 March until the end of June 2021. Healthcare professionals will also be able to use İZELMAN's open car parks free of charge until the end of June.
