Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality is starting the extension and renovation works on the 4.5-kilometer road connecting the old Mardin Road in Sur District to the new Mardin Road.
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department continues road construction maintenance and repair works throughout the city. The Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department is starting the renovation works on the old Mardin Road in Sur District, which is included in the 2021 program.
Road widening, 4.5 bridge, 1-meter bored pile retaining wall and art structures will be completely renewed in the 620-kilometer section from the Bağıvar Bridge on the old Mardin Road to the new Mardin Road. The underpass located at the place where the old Tekel Distillery is located will be expanded and a new 71-meter bridge will be built instead of the old bridge that connects to the Çarıklı neighborhood.
When the works are completed, the 3 meter wide sidewalk, lighting poles, 14 meter wide road will be opened to service by making it comfortable and safe.
