Upon the request of the taximeter companies and taxi driver tradesmen, IMM created an area in Yenikapı for a new raise. The work, which started today and attracts great attention, will continue until Saturday evening, January 2, 2021. The Municipality, which meets the social needs of the tradesmen such as tea, soup, water, electricity, internet, disinfection and WC, does not charge any fee for the taximeter adjustment.
Istanbul taxi drivers and taximeter manufacturers demanded the allocation of a place from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) for the adjustment of the taximeters to the new fare, following the decision taken at UKOME on December 23, 2020.
Responding positively to this request, the IMM Department of Transportation allocated the ISPARK car park in the Yenikapı Filling Area to taxi drivers. This practice, which was carried out on the streets in previous years, is realized in a very decent way with the tent set up and the social services offered.
In addition to the closed tent it provided for adjustment this year, IMM also provides free wc, soup, tea, water, electricity, internet and vehicle disinfection services to tradesmen and company representatives. Thanks to these services, taximeter adjustment work is taking place under more comfortable conditions this year.
Providing space and social facilities for taximeter adjustment work, IMM does not receive any fees for these services. The Taximeter Adjustment Fee of 460-480 lira is collected by three authorized companies. The 96 lira Adjustment Form Fee and 105 lira Taximeter Inspection Fee are collected by the authorized company determined by the Ministry of Industry.
The taximeter adjustment practice, which started today and attracts great attention, will continue until Saturday evening, January 2, 2021. The second phase of the study will be completed by arranging all taxis starting Monday at 09.00:XNUMX.
