Explaining that it will share various materials brought from the lunar surface with foreign researchers, China took the first step in this regard. Seven weeks after the Chinese satellite landed on the Moon, the Chinese National Space Agency in Beijing announced the rules for joint research with foreign scientists. In the statement, giving and returning as custody, the procedures to be done regarding the samples of the Moon and the exchange of scientific findings were determined.
Space Agency Moon Program Deputy Director Pei Zhaoyu stated that diplomats, including members of the European Union, were invited to the Beijing center, where samples from the Moon were found and examined. As it is known, the spacecraft Chang'e-5 took 1.731 grams of stones from our planet's planet and brought it to earth.
For the first time in 40 years, samples from the Moon have been brought to earth. China has achieved such a performance as the third space country after the USA and the Soviet Union. Moreover, since these specimens are newer than those collected previously, research on them will provide an opportunity to clarify hidden aspects of the Moon's volcanic activity and history.
