Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, examined the works at the public transportation friendly multi-storey intersection, which was initiated at the intersection of General Hulusi Akar Boulevard and Aşık Veysel Boulevard, and will become even more important with the introduction of the Talas Anayurt Rail System Line. Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We turn restriction into an opportunity and continue our services faster”.

When completed, the intersection of General Hulusi Akar Boulevard, which is planned to greatly relieve the traffic in terms of rail system lines and land vehicles, and the intersection of Aşık Veysel Boulevard and will cost 30 million 548 thousand TL and 2 U-type underpass works, continues with intense work in exit restriction.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç also examined the multi-story intersection construction works on Sunday.

Büyükkılıç, who received information about the works from the authorities, said that the authorized company and the infrastructure organizations spend a lot of time in the multi-storey intersection construction. Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that the services have continued uninterrupted since the first day of the restrictions, and emphasized that after the completion of the multi-storey crossroads, the citizens of Kayseri will have more comfortable, more convenient and faster transportation.

WHAT IS IN THE PROJECT?

With the completion of alternative route roads within the scope of excavation works for the construction of 2 U-type underpasses on Aşık Veysel Boulevard, excavation works are also carried out at the intersection points on Hulusi Akar Boulevard. In the project, which was tendered for 30 million 548 thousand TL excluding the works carried out by the infrastructure institutions with expropriation, 110 underpasses with a closed section of approximately 10 meters in length and 2 meters in width and 50 U-type underpasses with a length of approximately 7,50 meters and a width of 2 meters is planned.
