Erol Evgin (born April 16, 1947 in Istanbul) is a Turkish pop music artist who is the founder of POPSAV. He has also done a host, acting and architecture.

Education and cultural life

He is married to architect Emel Evgin and has 2 children. His son is Turkish pop music artist Murat Evgin. He studied high school in Istanbul Boys' High School and university in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Architecture. He also worked as a lecturer at the same university for a term. Later, they opened an architecture office with his wife. He is also the founder of the Popular Music Art Foundation (POPSAV) and served as the Chairman of the Board for three years. He is currently the Chairman of the POPSAV High Advisory Board. Evgin speaks German and English. Erol Evgin has 3 Grandchildren named Erol, Ozan and Eren.

Career

In 1969, he released his first 45 record, "You - Old Days". Later he started working with Çiğdem Talu and Melih Kibar. As a result of this work, "Here's Something", "If I Don't Have Love", "Ask Me Also", "The Storm Inside Me", "Do Not Action", "Tell Me My Dear", "Crazy Divane", "Always Stay Like This" He took out like plates. He won the Golden Record Award with his 45 records titled "Here Is Something" and "Say Canım". In the 45's, he stopped releasing new albums for a long time. In 90, "Are You A Woman To Be Forgotten?" Acting life

Between 1980-1984, she appeared on the stage as the leading actor in the musicals "Felted Wonderland Kumpanyası" (400 times) and "Şen Sazın Bülbülleri" (200 times), written and directed by Haldun Dormen. He played the leading role in three musical films and in the TV series Ihlamurlar Altında.

Presenter career 

In 1992-1994, he presented 400 episodes of the competition program "Super Family", which was broadcast on Show TV in partnership with ANS-FremantleMedia. Between 1995 and 1996, he was the general director and the presenter of his own program called “Erol Evgin Show” on TRT 1. Between 1999 and 2003, he prepared and presented 100 episodes for the program “Bir Sevda Masalı” on Kanal D and Star TV. He presented the music program called Bir Şarkısın Sen. Most recently, he was a jury member in the show program, Benzemez Kimse Sana, on Show TV.
