Ganita-Faroz Project, which is among the vision projects of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, is going to tender on Tuesday, January 26th. Metropolitan Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu, who pays special attention to the efforts of bringing the people of Trabzon back to the sea, said, "We aim to return Ganita to its good old days.
The Ganita-Faroz Beach Band Arrangement Urban Design Project, which aroused excitement from the first moment Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu announced, is being tendered. The project, which aims to reconcile the citizens of Trabzon with the sea and is expected to be completed in one year, will cost approximately 70 million lira.
GANITA WILL BACK TO ITS OLD DAYS
In the statement made by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs, the following statements were used about the details of the project; “The urban design project works we prepared between Ganita and Faroz in order for Ganita, one of the most distinguished places of Trabzon to preserve its natural structure, to return to its old days and to have a good time for our citizens and tourists, have been completed and the tender will be held on Tuesday, January 26. We have a total area of 200 thousand square meters and a coastline of approximately 3 kilometers. While designing the project, considering the old Ganita, the old Faroz and the axes in between, we have come up with a project that will transform Ganita into its old form, with the predictions of our project offices and our architect friends and the discretion of our dear President Murat Zorluoğlu. Within the scope of the project, we created different road axes from Gazipaşa and Cumhuriyet Street. We aimed to provide pedestrian circulation of the area on both sides with the low-slope bridges that will connect our region around Ganita with the arrangement works around the mosque built in Moloz.
WHAT WILL BE IN THE PROJECT?
“Within the scope of the Ganita-Faroz Project, 1 restaurant, 4 cafes, 7 buffets, 1 personnel unit, 2 baby care and disabled toilets and 2 water tanks were created. There is 76 thousand square meters of green space. Approximately 3 kilometers of bicycle and walking paths will be built. There is a total superstructure area of 500 square meters. There are innovative children's playgrounds, kiosks, sunset, sunrise terraces, walking and cycling paths, water shows. In the part towards Faroz, piers and viewing terraces were created that descend towards the sea. Buffets were placed intermittently. Fishing areas, areas for the disabled, elderly and children to use and a children's play village have been created in these areas.
WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THE PROJECT FOR A YEAR
Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu said, “The Ganita - Faroz Project is among our vision projects that we attach great importance to. Ganita used to be one of the most important haunts of Trabzon. It's been a little idle for a long time. We want to bring Ganita back to the city and make it a place where people from Trabzon can rest, spend time and meet the sea. We have been working on this project for a year. It was a project that we really worked hard on. "We will put out a tender on Tuesday, January 70 for our project, which will cost about 26 million liras."
WE WANT TO BRING THE PEOPLE OF TRABZON TO THE BEACH
Stating that they are planning to start work as of the beginning of March, President Zorluoğlu said, “We want to create a very different destination from Ganita to Faroz within 1 year. We will do piers for our citizens and amateur fishermen, and innovative applications for our children and youth. The walking and cycling paths we will build from Ganita to Faroz will join with the axle that exists after Faroz until Beşirli. Our goal is for our fellow townspeople to go from Ganita to Akyazı Stadium by bicycle, skateboard and roller skates. This important project, which will make a great contribution to the reconciliation of our citizens with the beach, is already good for our Trabzon ”.
