Diyarbakır Governor Münir Karaloğlu held a final meeting with stakeholders before the tender for the Logistics Village project, which is one of the vision projects with the contribution and employment opportunities it will provide to Diyarbakır, which is one of the most important trade routes of the region, to become an agriculture, foreign trade and logistics city.
In addition to Governor Karaloğlu at the meeting; Former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and also Diyarbakır Deputy Mehdi Eker, Deputy Governor Ömer Coşkun, Karacadağ Development Agency Secretary General Hasan Maral, Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ayhan Kardan and Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mehmet Kaya, Diyarbakır Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen President Alican Ebedinoğlu and Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange President Engin Yeşil were present.
At the meeting where Development Agency made a presentation, the final version of the project was discussed and details were discussed.
Regarding the project, which will provide various services such as transportation and storage of imported and exported products and raw materials by reducing production costs, Governor Karaloğlu emphasized the contributions of the project to Diyarbakır, drawing attention to the fact that they provide advantages in the regions of strong countries with their logistics infrastructure.
The Logistics Village project, which will lead Diyarbakır in digital transformation by producing high added value, will be built on an area of 229 hectares and will have 404 A + class storage areas with a closed area of 58 thousand square meters. Railroad connection will be established for 16 of these depots.
The project is also planned to include transportation brokers building, service stations, social facilities, gas stations, truck and container parking areas.
