The RAI delegation under the leadership of Saeid Rasouli, Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Planning and General Manager of Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Mohammad Talks were held between Farazmand and the TCDD delegation chaired by TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun.

At the meeting held at the General Directorate on the first day, the steps to be taken in order to update the railway transportation agreement signed between the two countries in 1969 according to today's conditions were discussed.

Following the high-level meeting held at the office, the issues agreed at the meeting, which started at 11.00:XNUMX am, chaired by TCDD Deputy General Manager Metin Akbaş, were detailed and agreed. What should be done in order to avoid any negativity in the increasing transportation potential between the two countries and the latest situation regarding the new railway connection planned between the two countries were shared, and the steps to be taken to complete the projects related to this connection as soon as possible were discussed.

In the second meeting that started in the afternoon, the Iranian delegation met with the authorities under the chairmanship of Çetin Altun, Deputy General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, and discussed the details of freight and passenger transportation by rail. The steps to be taken to contribute to the increasing trend of the existing potential were decided and the details of the agenda items discussed at the first meeting were discussed.

On 13 January 2021, the Minister of Road and Urban Planning of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the General Director of Railways Saeid Rasouli and TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun met and signed the minutes in which the issues discussed in both meetings were recorded at the General Directorate of TCDD.
