Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerexamined the studies initiated by the General Directorate of İZSU in the Gürpınar neighborhood of Bornova, where there has been a demand for healthy and uninterrupted drinking water for years. After the works, which are expected to be completed within two weeks, the water problem of the neighborhood will be completely resolved.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerexamined the works carried out by the General Directorate of İZSU in the Gürpınar neighborhood of Bornova. Mayor Soyer received information from İZSU General Manager Aysel Özkan about the works in the neighborhood, which could not get enough drinking water due to various problems. Welcoming the residents of the neighborhood with a show of affection, Soyer was thanked by the Deputy Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Özuslu, and the Secretary General of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Buğra Gökçe and Bornova Mayor Mustafa İduğ accompanied him.

"We will give water to all households"

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, who examined the studies Tunç SoyerHe said that water shortages in around 250 households is a serious problem. Expressing that this is not an acceptable situation in a metropolis like İzmir, the President Tunç Soyer“Our friends came up with a good solution. We will supply water to all 250 households in two weeks,” he said. Noting that there are different needs in the region, Soyer said: “Neighborhood residents have certain needs. Studies will be completed in 20 days

Due to the problems experienced, sufficient amount of water could not be provided to those living in the region where infrastructure works could not be carried out in the past years. Line laying works started on January 28 to provide healthy and sufficient drinking water by the teams of the General Directorate of IZSU. Following the works planned to be completed within 20 days, drinking water will be given to the residents of the neighborhood who meet the subscription conditions.
