Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has speeded up the construction of pedestrian overpasses in areas where vehicle traffic is intense so that citizens can cross the street safely. The Department of Urban Aesthetics has tendered the construction of a new pedestrian overpass at 10 points in order to protect the safety of drivers and pedestrians. The new overpasses are planned to be completed in 2021.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality carries out works that prioritize the life safety of pedestrians, as well as the road, junction and bridge works it continues on all sides of the capital to ensure safe and uninterrupted driving for drivers.
The Department of Urban Aesthetics, which continues to construct pedestrian overpasses in order to enable pedestrians to cross the street safely, took action to construct 10 new pedestrian overpasses throughout the city.
TENDERED FOR NEW OVERPASS
The Department of Urban Aesthetics, which accelerated the works to ensure safe transportation and comfortable passage for pedestrians, made the tender for the "Construction of 10 Pedestrian Overpasses".
28 companies submitted bids in the tender with an approximate cost of 470 million 8 thousand TL. Taking into account the demands and complaints of the citizens of the capital, the Metropolitan Municipality plans to complete 10 new overpasses in 2021.
The new overpasses to be built by the Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented the transportation projects designed to ease the city traffic one by one, are as follows:
- Esenboğa Protocol Road Pursaklar pedestrian overpass,
- Dumlupınar Boulevard (Eskişehir Road) Pedestrian overpass in front of Hayalpark Site,
- On Turan Güneş Boulevard, 578th Street intersection is a pedestrian overpass,
- Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard (Istanbul Road) Hidromek Line pedestrian overpass
- West Boulevard 2026th Street pedestrian overpass,
- Pedestrian overpass on Ayaş Street in front of Başak Medical Center,
- Overpass in front of Bağdat Caddesi Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center,
- Overpass in front of Samsun Road Aski Water Tank,
- Konya Road Hacıbaba front overpass,
- Dumlupınar Boulevard (Eskişehir Road) A pedestrian overpass in front of Kentpark.
